Membership is open to all we just ask that you have an interest in wine and a wish to further your knowledge.Our membership comes from all walks of life and has grown steadily over the years to over 70.

We meet once a month at the River Wyre, Poulton-le-Fylde for a themed tasting led by invited speakers. Our speakers are drawn from the wine industry both local and nationwide, and from within the society, allowing us to provide a varied programme of tastings covering countries, regions, grape varieties and styles of wine from both well known regions and those off the beaten track.

We typically taste some 7 wines priced from £5 to £30, allowing you to discover wines to drink regularly or for a more special occasion. Wines can sometimes even be bought on the night at discounted rates.

We also run Special interest groups (SIG’s). Smaller in size these groups focus on trying wines that are difficult - or very expensive - to obtain
We operate a ‘try before you buy policy’ allowing you to come along as a guest for 3 tastings before deciding to join the society.
