Members of the Committee

The society is a 'not for profit' organisation which is administered by an annually elected committee of up to eight members, all of whom give their time freely.

The current committee is shown below together with an indication of their interests, vinous or otherwise.

 

Hazel - Chairman

Retired hotelier, advanced driver, lover of Cloudy Bay & Penfolds Grange.

WSET Higher Certificate.
 

 

Cathy - Secretary

Former nurse, now Lead Clinical Research Associate. Enjoys wine (!!); good food; reading; rugby league (come on the Saints!). Also, an occasional thespian....

WSET Higher Certificate.

Pat -Treasurer

Likes to travel, especially in the wine areas of France; enjoys food, walking, spending time with grandchildren.

No wine qualifications but learning all the time.

 

 

Rhona - Web Author

Walking, cooking, wildlife, New  World shiraz and viognier.
No qualifications, just plenty of  practice!

Norman - Member

Accountant - retired, ex-winemaker, Greece, riding & S. American wines.

WSET Higher Certificate.
       

Ken - member

Retired engineer.
World travelled, including many wine-producing areas. Favourite wines include: NZ whites, Rioja, Alsace, S. America & S. African

Steve -Member

 Professional engineer, wine tasting.

WSET Diploma.

 

 
 

Malcolm- member

School teacher retired.

No qualifications at present but a great love of Australian wines - especially reds

Interests include walking, golf, Blackpool FC (sadly) and history
