Wines of the Italian Islands
Italy has a very rich heritage of vines and we hope to be tasting wines made from some of the lesser known grape varieties.
From a reputation for cheap plonk in the 1960s, Italy has successfully pursued a quest for quality with a consequential rise in prices and many of the wines to be tasted fall within the £15.00 - £20.00 bracket.
The venue will, as usual, be the River Wyre Hotel at Poulton (please
see the Venue page for further details), and the meeting will commence
at 8pm.
